Welcome to Doggy Stylez, where your furry friend receives top-notch grooming care tailored to their needs. Meet Janet, our skilled groomer who holds an iPet Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management. With her expertise and dedication, Janet was honored with the Specialist Pet Service of the Year award in 2023, recognising her exceptional work with anxious and elderly dogs.
At Doggy Stylez, we prioritize individualised attention, providing a one-on-one grooming experience for both your dog and Janet. We understand that every pup is unique, which is why we allocate extra time for grooming appointments, ensuring breaks can be taken if needed.
Unlike traditional grooming setups, we believe in creating a stress-free environment. That's why we don't use crates; instead, dogs are free to explore and relax in our enclosed garden before and after their grooming session. Our commitment to quality extends to the products we use—we only use the finest shampoos, conditioners, colognes, and grooming tools.
Step into our grooming room, equipped with state-of-the-art bath facilities, dryers, and clippers, all designed to provide the utmost comfort and efficiency for your pet's grooming experience. Janet's passion for dogs drives her to continually invest in the company, ensuring that each client receives nothing but the best.
Unike some other salons, we provide extra time and attention to ensure your pet's comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. At Doggy Stylez, your pet's satisfaction and happiness are priceless, and we spare no effort in delivering a grooming experience that exceeds expectations.

Next up, we'll give those ears a good cleaning to remove any wax or debris. Then it's time for a nail clipping and filing to make sure those paws are safe and comfortable.
Your pet will then enjoy a bath with high-quality, pet-friendly shampoo, effectively removing dirt, grime, and odors. We follow this with a conditioner tailored to your pet's specific fur type.
After towel drying, we use a warm dryer for a complete fluff dry. The grooming session concludes with a haircut, where we trim and style the coat according to your specifications or breed standards, and we also trim the hygiene area and pads for added comfort.

Regularly cleaning your pets teeth is the most important factor in preventing dental disease. The Emi-Pet tooth brush is vibration free and noise free so your pet will find it an easy and pleasant experience. Each dog has their own toothbrush head which can be kept at the salon or taken home with you. There is a Piezo-Chip located in the head of the brush that creates up to 96 million air oscillations per minute and when it comes into contact with the emi-pet toothpaste, creates millions of microscopic nano bubbles that continually implode. This creates a suction effect which removes impurities such as germs, bacteria plaque and tartar.

Hand stripping is a grooming process that involves removing dead hairs from the coat by hand instead of clipping to keep the coat tidy and healthy. Any dog with a wiry coat that is easily removed can get hand stripped. This includes most Terrier breeds, as well as some sporting or hound breeds. By removing these hairs we are encouraging the growth of new, healthy hairs to take it’s place. New hair growth will be naturally wiry and textured – which is exactly what we want.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We recommend that you bring your dog to us every 4-8 weeks for grooming. But, depending on your pup's breed and coat type, some may require more frequent visits to keep them looking and feeling their best.
For those pups with coats that easily become matted, we suggest more frequent visits, ranging from 2-6 weeks. However, if you prefer a longer coat and can't make it to the salon that often, we recommend opting for a shorter style to ensure your pup stays comfortable and healthy.
Both our mini and full grooming services include all the good stuff - a luxurious double shampoo and conditioning, brushing and combing to remove tangles, deshedding to keep their coats shiny and healthy, and trimming around their delicate bits like their feet, eyes, bottoms, and private areas. Plus, we'll give those nails a little trim too!
A mini groom is perfect for those pups who just need a little sprucing up. We won't take any length off during this service, and we can only do it if there's no matting present. It's a great way to keep your pup looking and feeling their best between full grooms.
A full groom is a more comprehensive service that includes taking length off your pup's coat. How much we take off will depend on the style you want and the condition of your pups coat. We'll work with you to create a look that you love.
We know you want your pup to be happy and comfortable, so it's important to prevent matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments and daily combing. Matting can be super painful for your pup and cause all sorts of problems like hiding parasites and debris, trapping thorns and grass seeds, and even leading to skin infections.
If your dog is severely matted, we'll have to use clippers and scissors to remove the mats, which means getting very close to the skin. This process can be stressful and even cause nicks and scratches to the skin. But don't worry, we take our time and do our best to prevent any discomfort.
After we remove the mats, your pup may feel a pins and needles sensation as blood rushes back to the skin, causing some bruising and discomfort. They may drag their bottom, lick excessively, rub around, scratch, or even hide away for a bit.
In some cases, matting can be so severe that it's not safe for us to groom your pup. In those cases, we'll recommend a visit to the vet.
The time your furry friend will spend with us for their pampering session will vary from 1 to 3 hours, depending on what kind of grooming they need. We promise to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Your dog will get plenty of water breaks, toilet breaks, kisses and cuddles in between their grooming session.
While we'd love to have you stay and watch us work our magic on your furry friend, for safety and insurance reasons, we can't allow it (except for nail trims). We don't want anything to distract us from giving your pup the best grooming experience possible, so we'll take great care of them while you take a little break. Trust us, your pup will be in good hands!
